Since last Saturday we have been expecting walks to be off for the next 4 weeks and this has just been confirmed by Walking for Health nationally. There will be none of our walks in the period 5th November to 2nd December.
Dates for your diary. Following today’s committee meeting we have put back the walk leader training until 12th November, see the event https://www.facebook.com/events/1235281583494233 for details. Thank you to Vanessa for volunteering to restart the Monday Town Park Walk from October 5th. Meet outside meeting point house at 2 pm.
We have been able to restart most of our walks now, the exceptions are the Monday and Thursday Town Park Walks (lack of leaders) and the Tuesday Stirchley and Wednesday Madeley walks (lack of walkers). We are holding a walk leader training on October 15th. This will be via Zoom, and will be followed by a demo walk on a date to be arranged. To book a place please see our training page.
Most of our walks are running again in a socially distanced way. The Town Park walks are the only ones that haven’t happened yet, but the committee have stepped in (literally) and have a temporary rota to restart the Friday walk from September 11th.
